LG Grievance Cell, IMPARD organize training programmes for nodal officers

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (IMPARD) in collaboration with Lieutenant Governor’s Grievance Cell, organized a series of orientation cum training programmes for nodal officers of Udhampur, Samba, Kathua and Reasi districts of Jammu division.
The series of training programmes were held under the guidance of Director General, IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat and Commissioner Secretary, Public Grievances, Rehana Batool.
Rehana Batool emphasized that these trainings shall greatly help all participating officers to deeply understand the grievance redressal mechanism. She said these trainings shall be held for all the districts of the UT.
Director Training J&K IMPARD, Jammu, Dr. Reva Sharma, highlighted linkage between good governance and grievance redressal during her lecture on the subject.
Additional Project Director, Public Grievances, Mustaq Ahmad, emphasized the need for quality disposal of public grievances in the light of recent directions from Lieutenant Governor. He discussed the reports of committees constituted to study disposal of grievances by the districts in J&K.
Under Secretary, Public Grievances, Azeeta Qureshi, gave a presentation on J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (JKIGRAMS), working of the web portal besides LG’s Mulaqaat initiatives.
The Officers also presented short audio visual clip demonstration on the working and process of Grievance Redressal mechanism.
Ajaz Ahmed interacted on work flow on JKIGRAMS web portal besides elaborating about handling of grievances and usage of different options on web interfaces to Nodal Officers of the district.
During the training, all the important dimensions of the work related to Grievances Redressal were covered in different sessions.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Dr. Reva Sharma and was coordinated by Manju Kapoor, Assistant Professor, J&K IMPARD, Jammu.
The course coordinator briefed the participants about the proceedings of the training programme and its importance.
