PAMPORE: Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore under the guidance of Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore Junaid Imtiaz Mir (KCS Judicial) in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Awantipora organised an awareness programme regarding the subject titled Prohibition of Child Marriage on Wednesday at Dehli Public Modern School (DMPS) Pampore.
The objective of the programme was to aware the students about the negative impacts of Child marriage. It violates children’s rights and places them at high risk of violence, exploitation, and abuse. Child marriage affects both girls and boys, but it affects girls disproportionately, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Students from the school spoke during the occasion and Principal of DMPS Professor Fayaz Ahmad Mir also spoke during the occasion and said how it impacts negatively the lives of children. Bar President Pampore Advocate Ajaz Ahmad Khan and Panel Lawyer TLSC Awantipora Advocate Basharat Shaheen regarding the subject as why child marriage is prohibited and how it affects the society and childrens and and it leads to imprisonment.PLV TLSC Awantipora Bashir Ahmad also spoke during the programme.
Programme was attended by Principal of the School, School Staff, Students, Bar President and PLVs of TLSC Pampore and Awantipora and Panel Lawyer.
