BANDIPORA: As part of the “Cyber Jagrukta Diwas” the Government Degree College (GDC) Ajas today celebrated a one day programme titled “Cyber Violence: Modes and Means of Violence”.
The event started with a welcome address by Mehraj din Dar, Assistant Professor Education followed by a detailed presentation from Ashaq Hassain Parray Assistant Professor English.
In his presentation, Parray talked about cyber violence, its conceptualization, classification and more particularly the gendered nature of cyber violence.
Citing data and evidence from South Asia and abroad, Parray spoke on the connection between gender and violence vis-a-vis Cyberspace.
The event ended with concluding remarks by the Principal of the College Prof. (Dr) Parveen Kousar who alerted students on the need to maintain cyber-hygiene during virtual interactions.
