Encroachment from road removed in Pampore

PAMPORE: Tehsill administration Pampore under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din ud-Din carried out a demolition drive at Bagandar in Saffron Town Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Tehsil Official Mir Murwat Hussian and employees of Municipal Committee Pampore along with machinery accompanied by Tehsildar Pampore during the demolition drive removed decades of encroachment from important roads, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din said that they were receiving complaints from the general public about road encroachment by two households near a curve along Pampore Meej road.
He added that this point had become an accident prone area and to avert any mishap widening of the road has become essential by way of evicting the encroachment.
” The encroachment was on Bagandar Meej road near a blind curve, they had erected sheds and placed boulders on the road, we were receiving complaints from general public for removing the encroachment from some time and a notice was served to the encroachers but didn’t pay any heed to it with the result we were forced to evict the encroachment will a bulldozer,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader.
He appealed to people to not encroach on roads and warned that strict action will be taken against those who encroach on roads.
The locals of many villages including Meej, Lalpora, Konibal appreciated the Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Di for evicting the decades of encroachment at Bagandar.
