SMC sanitation drive around B&J hospital, clears debris, waste left after blaze

Srinagar: SMC conducted a special sanitation/ cleanliness drive on Sunday for the Srinagar initiative at Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla under the supervision of Joint Commissioner Adm Syed Abul Qasim.
At least 200 sanitation workers were pressed into service for lifting of Solid waste and debris due to the Massive fire that broke out earlier in the Bone and Joint Hospital .
The SMC men have been on the job lifting debri for two days.
On the directions of Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan a number of garbage lifting vehicles including hoppers, loaders, tippers and sucker machines were pressed into service for clearing out debris post fire incident .
The cleaning drive was also conducted at Yehal Danihama under the supervision of Chief Sanitation Officer Nazir Ahmad Baba in Ward 13 where other officials also participated in the drive.
The drive witnessed participation of various Officers including CSO Baba and concerned zonal sanitation officers of the area.
During the drive proper sanitation and cleaning of identified bad spots on the occasion in the said areas and its adjoining areas were ensured.
