Anti encroachment drive in Pampore, six kanals Kahcharai retrieved

PAMPORE: Tehsildar Administration Pampore on Saturday launched an anti-encroachment drive in Saffron town Pampore, during which six Kanals of Kahcharai land worth crores were evicted from encroachers.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din carried out eviction drives in two locations near grid station Kadlabal and Tanchibagh Drangbal areas of Pampore to evict 6 kanals of prime Kahcharai land worth crores of rupees.
Revenue department officials and officials of Municipal Committee Pampore accompanied him during the drive, officials told Kashmir Reader.
“An anti encroachment drive to evict six kanals of prime Kahcharai land worth crores of rupees was carried out today,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, adding that the evicted land will be utilised for construction of marriage hall and Slaughter house in the Saffron Town.
“The land had been encroached by some Influential persons, who had been put on notice several times in the past,” the Tehsildar said.
“The drive begun at Kadlabal Pampore where 5 kanals of land were evicted and at Tanchibagh where one Kanal of land was retrieved”
The drives were carried out with the assistance of Pampore Municipality officials.
” Pertinently, the government has approved several developmental projects for the Saffron Town Pampore recently, including marriage hall and Slaughter house,” he said.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din issued strict warning against illegal encroachers and said that action as per law will be taken against them.
