Special walk-in drives organised for AB-PMJAY SEHAT Golden Card registration

CEO, SHA, Mohammad Yasin Choudhary appeals people to come forward and get golden cards

Jammu: Aiming to bring every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir under health care safety net, the State Health Agency (SHA) has organised special walk-in registration drives for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme at different locations across the Union Territory.
The walk-in drives are being organised at nine different locations in the Union Territory. In Jammu the walk-in drives are being held at Jammu Lochan Amphala, Talab Tillo Anantnagar Kidzee School, Durga Mandir in Gangyal, BDO Office R S Pura, Government High School AKhnoor while in Kashmir region the drives are being held at Tehsil office Khour, SDM Office Bemina, Tehsil Office Khanyar and at Government Boys School Panthachowk. The drive will continue till mid-March.
CEO, State Health Agency (SHA), Mohammad Yasin Choudhary said, “Our aim is to cover the entire population of J&K under this AB-PMJAY-SEHAT scheme. Hence this special registration drive is being organized at different locations across Jammu and Kashmir so that no one is left unregistered. We urge people to come forward and avail the golden card to get cashless healthcare access.”
He further added, “In past, our special drives at district levels, for different professional groups and the 15-25 years age group organised in Higher Secondary schools were very successful. Enthused by the response during these drives we planed the current drive, and we will continue to organise special drives in future till every citizen is covered under this scheme.”
The (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme is the world’s largest health insurance scheme fully financed by the government. This scheme provides a cover of Rs 500,000 per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. This ambitious health insurance scheme enables all residents of Jammu and Kashmir including employees and pensioners as well as their families to avail cashless quality health care services across public and private empanelled hospitals.
The scheme envisions to mitigate expenditure on medical treatment to all the residents of Jammu & Kashmir. It covers up to 3 days of pre-hospitalization and 15 days post-hospitalisation expenses such as diagnostics and medicines. There is no restriction on the family size, age or gender. All pre-existing conditions are covered from day one.
