5 injured in Pampore road accident, referred to SMHS Srinagar

PAMPORE: A 75 years old man among five passengers were seriously injured in a road accident on the old Srinagar-Jammu highway in Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
The accident occurred when a Santro car and a Tavera vehicle collided with each other in which five persons were injured.
SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan told Kashmir Reader that the accident took place 3.30 Pm near Galander bridge old highway Pampore between Santro Car bearing registration number JK01M-2803 and a Taveera vehicle bearing registration number JK13B-2024 , resulting into injuries to five passengers.
Soon after the accident a police party from Pampore Police Station reached the spot and took the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment. After treatment where doctors referred them all injured persons to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment and their condition was stated to be stable.
The injured persons as 75 years old Ali Mohammad Mir son of Mohammad Subhan, resident of Dadsara Tral, Dr Majid Ahmad Malla (26) son of Bashir Ahmad, resident of Awantipora, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Malik (48) son of Mohammad Subhan, resident of Dadipora Kulgam, Asif Ahmad Malik (25) son of Mohammad Ayoub, resident of Lasjan Srinagar (Santro driver) and Aqib Rashid Mir ( 24) Abdul Rashid, resident of Sanoor Kalipora Budgam, SHO Pampore said.
Both the vehicles were damaged in the incident.
A case FIR number 18/2022 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Pampore and investigation started.
