UDHAMPUR: Principal Secretary, School Education Department (SED), B K Singh, visited various schools of district Udhampur and interacted with staff and students there enquiring them about functioning of their respective institutions.
During his visit to Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur, Principal Secretary interacted with the students and exhorted upon them to deeply understand the basic concepts of their subjects. He also asked them to strictly follow all Covid SOPs during their offline classes.
He interacted with staff of the school and instructed them to rationalize enrolment in various subjects on the basis of staff availability to have manageable number of students in a class. He directed the Principal of the school to arrange adequate sports material and construct a basketball court in the premises.
Principal Secretary also visited Government High School Mand where he inaugurated basketball court in presence of CEO and DYSSO Udhampur.
Later, he visited Higher Secondary School Tikri and had an exclusive interaction with the students there. He directed the Principal to ensure development of sports infrastructure especially outdoor sports in the school.
Chief Education Officer, Udhampur and other senior officers accompanied the Principal Secretary during the visit.
