Police solves theft case in Pampore, accused arrested, stolen cash of Rs 4.36 lakh recovered

PAMPORE: Pampore police achieved a major success when it solved a theft case within two days by arresting one accused person and recovered the whole stolen amount of Rs 4.36 lakh from his possession on Friday.
Another accuses in this case is absconding.
Police identified the accused person as Fayaz Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Sultan, resident of Kadlabal Pampore, police officer told Kashmir Reader.
He said that on Wednesday Police Station Pampore received a written complaint from Muzaffar Ahmad Banday son of Mohammad Yaqoob, resident of Kadlabal Pampore stating therein that during intervening night of 30/31 January some unknown burglars have stolen cash from his shop located at Kadlabal Pampore.
On receipt of this written complaint case First Information Report bearing number 09/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pampore and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, a special team of police station Pampore led by SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad apprehended one suspected person who during questioning confessed and admitted his involvement in the commission of crime.
During confession he disclosed that the stolen cash of Rs 4.36 lac was stolen by him which was recovered by police Pampore from his home at Kadlabal Pampore.
One more person involved in the case absconding.
