RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today stressed on doubling the Horticulture production, poultry and egg production in the district. The DDC was chairing a meeting to review the achievements recorded in the twin Sectors in the district.
Taking the review of the Poultry sector, the Poultry Development Officer Rajouri, Dr Safeer Ahmed Tak informed the chair that in the year 2021, the district recorded 2326 ton production of poultry and 2.88 lakh eggs.
“About 24500 egg-layer chicks have been distributed till date in the district,” he added.
He also informed that besides 10 private chick farms in the district, the government owns 2 farms with a capacity of 7000 chicks.
