SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of all concerned Officers with regard to DASTAQ-e-Shopian awareness programme for unemployed youth of the district to make them aware and get first hand appraisal of Centrally Sponsored and other schemes through online portal Dastak.in.
The basic aim of the awareness programme is to provide a platform to the youth of the district through the online portal so that they are able to generate employment for themselves and earn their livelihood.
The DC motivated the unemployed youth to channelize their energies in a constructive manner. He exhorted upon them to explore avenues for becoming Atmanirbhar and contribute towards the prosperity of the district and the UT
The DC congratulated the youth for showing keen interest in establishing units by applying through online portal Dastak.in. He assured them of every possible support from the district administration in their future endeavours.
Motivating the youth to avail the maximum benefit of the government initiatives, he said that in the present competitive world the opportunity never knocks at the doors rather one needs to grab it.
He advised the youth to apply through online portal Dastq.in and get knowledge about the schemes of all the departments meant for the upliftment of the unemployed youth to earn their livelihood to generate employment opportunities for others also.
Later, the DC listened to the suggestions, grievances and issues of the youth and participants from all over the district who also put forth their views, suggestions and various issues.
On the occasion, ADC highlighted the importance of “Dastaq ” and emphasised the unemployed youth of the district to come forward and avail the benefits of schemes in various departments to stand on their own legs to earn their livelihood in a better way.
Certificates were also distributed among the youth.
The meeting was among others attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, AD, Planning, District Lead Bank Manager, Chief Animal Husbandry officer, Chief Agriculture Officer and other concerned.
