Srinagar: Police in Srinagar have solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime, besides recovered the stolen property from his possession.
In October last year, Police Station Safakadal received a written complaint from Sajid Basheer Khan resident of Malik Sahib Safakadal stating therein that some unknown thieves have decamped with mobile phones of various brands like Apple, Samsung, Vivo etc, from his Mobile Shop situated at Malik Sahib Safakadal.
Accordingly, a case vide under FIR No. 214/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, few suspects were rounded up and called for questioning. Officers learnt about the involvement of one person identified as Rafeeq Ahmed Shah resident of Gadoora Ganderbal. He was instantly arrested and on his disclosure stolen property was recovered from his possession. Further investigation into the case is going on and more arrests and recoveries are also expected.
