ADDC Rajouri listens to people’s issues at Koteranka

Calls for 100% saturation of beneficiaries oriented schemes

RAJOURI: Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today visited far flung areas of Koteranka subdivision including Kanthol and Trambli and listened to public grievances there.
Among the others present on the occasion were BDC Chairperson Budhal Old-A, Javed Iqbal Chowdhary; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PMGSY Budhal, Abdul Gani; AD Planning, Mohammad Rafi; BDO Koteranka and other officers.
During the event, the public and their representatives apprised the visiting officer about several issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, up-gradation of schools, better health services, punctuality of staff in Govt institutions.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the public on the occasion and assured quality disposal of their genuine concerns.
Addressing the gathering, he said that every possible effort is being made to reach out to the general public and redress their grievances at their doorsteps and the District Administration is committed to ensuring hundred per cent transparency and accountability in its functioning.
Motivating the public to register for SEHAT scheme, the DC said that the scheme provides health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India.
Listing the benefits of various welfare schemes being implemented by the Labour Department for the labourers, he urged upon the unorganised workers to apply for registration on E-Shram portal.
While appreciating the public for their immense support in mitigating the second COVID wave in the district, he urged them to keep cooperating with the District Administration to avert the third wave by following all the COVID related SOPs.
Underlining the importance of close coordination among the administrative unit and Panchayat Raj Institutions, he advised the officers and PRIs to work in tandem to take the developmental profile of the district to new heights.
The ADDC also briefed the public about various self employment generation schemes and appealed to the unemployed youth to come forward and avail the necessary benefits under these schemes
He also directed the officers to work with missionary zeal so that the people of the area may not deprive them of their genuine demands. He also asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by Government of India and UT Govt.
