RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a first-hand review of the progress on the snow clearance and status of power supply in the district amid the rains and snowfall in the upper reaches.
The PWD authorities informed that snow clearance works on most of the roads are in progress and 90 per cent routes would be made motorable by today evening.
It was further Informed that men and machinery are on job to clear snow and slides on the roads and efforts are being made to restore the traffic.
The concerned Officer from PDD informed that all 33 KV lines and R/stations are running smoothly and power supply to most of the areas has been restored after charging of the lines. It was also informed that efforts are being made to restore the power to the rest of the areas. He said the line patrolling is also being done to find the faults.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers not to leave the station and keep the men and machinery in readiness.
