SSP Awantipora visits Pampore appeals for following CAB, adhere to restrictions

Pampore: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Mohammad Yousuf, visited Saffron Town Pampore, area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday. He was accompanied by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad.
He appealed to all the people living in the police district Awantipora for adopting COVID Appropriate Behaviour and other SOP’s.
He said that authorities have announced complete restrictions on non essential movement in the Union Territory from Friday 2:00 Pm to Monday 6:00 Am.
“My appeal to residents of Pampore, Awantipora and Tral areas of police district Awantipora is to respect the restriction orders,” he said.
He also asked people to follow other SOP’s including avoiding crowds and wearing face masks.
Meanwhile, Police Pampore and revenue officials set up nakas at various entry points into the saffron town for regulating movement of non essential services.
The team led by SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan, Naib Tehsildar Pampore Bashir Ahmad Naikoo, Naib Tehsildar Khrew Mohammad Ameen and Mohammad Iqbal Executive officer Municipal Committee Pampore.
Announcements for imposing the restrictions were made on loudspeakers by a joint team comprising officials from the revenue department, police and Municipal Committee Pampore.
