NC anguished on death of PDD lineman in Kulgam

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Friday expressed deep anguish over the death of Shabir Ahmad Dar working as a daily wager in Power Development Department after falling off a utility pole in Bogund village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sharing the grief of the victim’s family in their bereavement, the party Spokesperson and In Charge constituency Kulgam Imran Nabi Dar expressed profound anguish over the fatality. He prayed for peace to the departed and much needed strength to the bereaved to bear the irreparable loss.
Venting his grief on the fateful accident, Imran said, “I received the news of this unfortunate accident with utmost grief. We owe a lot to ground staffers of various public utility departments. These people put themselves through hardships to ensure steady utility services to us. I share the grief of the family and pray for eternal repose to the deceased in the Jannat. I urge the government to come to the rescue of the victim’s family. There is a brewing resentment among the employees of the department against the increasing accidents of field staff and they held the Government responsible for not taking necessary steps to avert such accidents in the department,” he said demanding a government job to the next of kin with adequate ex-gratia relief to the family.
