DHSK visits SDH Bijbehara, trauma hospital Bijbehara

Special teams visit Ganderbal, Budgam, Shopian districts

Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Sunday visited Sub District Hospital Bijbehara and trauma hospital Bijbehara to review the Covid-19 arrangements and health care facilities provided to patients.
A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services said that the director visited the upcoming building for SDH Bijbehara and also inspected its all sections.
He also took a review of Covid-19 maternity facilities and directed the concerned officials to provide hassle-free facilities for pregnant women.
The director also directed the Medical Superintendent, SDH Bijbehara to stay alert and be stationed so that no patient faces any problem.
Pertinently, ever since District Hospital Anantnag has been attached with Government Medical College Anantnag, the importance of Bijbehara hospital has doubled as it is one of the major hospitals of the health department in the district.
The director said in future the Bijbehara hospital will be upgraded with modern health care facilities in addition to facilities available on date.
During the visit, the director asked the hospital administrators to follow guidelines of the Union Health Ministry, which were revised in view of the Covid variant Omicron.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Director Health Services Kashmir, special teams of officers headed by Assistant Directors of DHSK visited various hospitals across Kashmir valley.
The officers who were leading these teams included epidemiologist and SSO Kashmir Dr Talat Jabeen, Assistant Director Rehbare Sehat DHSK Dr SM Qadri, Assistant Directors DHSK Dr Nishat and Dr Kausar.
They visited several hospitals in Ganderbal, Budgam and Shopian districts and took a review of the health care facilities being provided to patients.
