PAMPORE: In view of heavy snowfall prediction, Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din, who also holds additional charge as Tehsildar Awantipora, held meetings with officials of various departments of Pampore and Awantipora in view inclement weather prediction from coming Thursday.
He directed the officials for provide uninterrupted essential service to people so that they don’t have to suffer.
He instructed Officials of R&B, PDD, PHE and officials of the mechanical engineering wing of PWD to be ready in view of heavy snowfall prediction on 7 and 8 January.
He also issued helpline numbers for the information of the Pampore and Awantipora general public requiring assistance in view of the prevalent weather situation.
The general public have been asked to contact the following numbers in case of any emergency in Pampore and Awantipora Tehsil’s, officials told Kashmir Reader.
” Heavy weather forecast for 7 and 8 January has been issued, we have to be ready and in this regard I talked to all departments providing essential services, everything is ready,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, adding that routes of snow clearance vehicles have been finalised.
He also issued help line numbers for Pampore tehsil and Awantipora tehsil for emergencies. He asked Pampore Tehsil residents to dial these numbers for any emergency: 9906000164, 7889388854 and Awantipora residents can dial 9906972915 and 8825027042.
He told Kashmir Reader that people can reach him on his mobile number, 7006042302 also.
” If residents of these two Tehsils face any issue regarding snow clearance or land slides, they can reach us on given help line numbers and the issues will be redressed on priority basis,” he said.
He also instructed his field staff of revenue department Pampore and Awantipora for readying themselves to provide emergency help to people.
