Meeting held in Pampore for vaccination of 15-18 age group

PAMPORE: A meeting of various officials from health department, education department and revenue department were held in the office of block medical officer in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
The meeting was attended by block medical officer Pampore Dr Asma Nazir, Zonal education officers from Pampore, Awantipora, Kakapora, Sectoral Medical Officers, officials from revenue department and health department.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din supervised the meeting. The meeting was held to chalk out a plan for starting vaccination drive of age group between 15 and 18 years. A detailed report was sought from ZEO Pampore Mushtaq Ahmad Dar about number private coaching centres and winter coaching in government schools in Pampore education zone.
He replied that they have nine registered coaching centres in Pampore town besides winter coaching in various government schools. Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader that Recently government announced vaccination of age group from 15 to 18 years from 3rd January. ” it was in this context that a meeting was held in the office of BMO Pampore,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din said, adding that the meeting was attended by BMO Pampore, ZEO’s, Medical officers, senior health officials and sectoral officers. He told Kashmir Reader that they made a strategy as how to start the vaccination programme.
“Majority of this age group are students and it was sorted out how we could target them and maximum results in minimum time,” he said.
