Capacity Building program for Food Business Operators held at Doda

DODA: A Capacity Building program for Food Business Operators was today held here as per the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines.
As per FSSAI guidelines every FBO shall have their licenses & registration as well as a trained team of Food Safety Supervisors to deliver Safe, Hygienic & Healthy Food to the Customers.
First phase of Hygiene rating of the 05 Hotels & restaurants & one Hospital at Doda was started and IInd phase will be operated for other Hotels & restaurants & Food junctions in District shortly.
Under the initiatives of Eat Right Challenge FSSAI Govt. of India, this expedition is being carried out to achieve maximum coverage of the subject matter. Hygiene kits were distributed among the participants free of cost.
Further, it was informed that such programmes will continue and training, licenses and Registrations camps shall be held in collaboration with FoSTaC. Hygiene rating programs, Eat Right Campus, BHOG, clean Street Food Hubs, Clean fruits & vegetables markets in District Doda shall also be conducted to enable every food Business operator to have FSSAI licenses/registration & team of FoSTaC trained Food handlers to deliver the safe, quality & Hygienic Food to the Consumers.
The event was organised by the District Administration as per directions of Commissioner FDA J&K and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Sharma, ADC Dr R K Bharti.
Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Taraq Ahmad Butt along with Food Safety Officers conducted the FoSTaC training to certify the Food handlers in Collaboration with Accreditation Council of India FSSAI, FoSTaC training partner.
