Kupwara: Jammu and Kashmir Team Red on Saturday carried out a massive blanket donation drive at Lolab in the north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
The team headed by Isra Wali Wani was flagged off by the Team Red Chairman Saadat Nasir Wani Sogami the team members carried the consignment of blankets from srinagar earlier today.
The visiting contingent of team functionaries made stopovers at various places at Lolab and distributed the blankets among the underprivileged.
The entire exercise was carried out in tandem and was much appreciated by the locals. Around two hundred beneficiaries recieved blankets on the occasion, it said in a statement. During the breadth of the donation drive, the functionaries maintained the required Covid protocol as well.
Flagging off the contingent of team members earlier today, the Team Red chairman said that there is no better gift than providing warm clothing to the needy during winter season.
Saadat said that these small initiatives make great difference to an individual or family.
