Labour Dept Ramban disburses Rs 28 Lakh among beneficiaries

RAMBAN: Labour Department, Ramban, disbursed Rs.12, 51,500 as ‘Lower Education Assistance’ among 200 wards of Labour Card holders of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam released the amount in favour of beneficiaries. He also handed over a cheque of Rs. 15, 12,450 as compensation amount to the family of a deceased labourer.
The DC said that the Labour Department is implementing several welfare schemes which have been launched by the Government to provide financial assistance to registered construction workers for the education of their children and welfare of their families.
According to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh, an amount of Rs 12,51,500 as Lower Education Assistance and Rs. 98762 as Chronic disease was transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
He said that a cheque of Rs. 15, 12,450 as compensation amount was also handed over to the family of a deceased labourer of Bihar. He also advised the labour card holders to get their card renewed well in time to take benefits from beneficiary oriented schemes of the department.
