JKYF, Infaq Foundation distributes relief among 10 fire affected families in Gurez

Srinagar: J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) distributed relief kits among 10 families comprising more than 70 souls who were recently affected due to massive blaze at Kilshey Tetri village of Tulail in Gurez area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The villages along Line of Control (LoC) are situated around 170 Kms from Srinagar headquarters.
The relief kits included wheat bran (Kush),Pelleted feed(feed) ,grocery items, blankets, school bags with stationary items and 3 vehicles of cattle fodder. An amount of about Rs 2.0 Lac was incurred for the arrangement of relief kits.
Besides, clothing including sweaters and other woolens was also distributed among the affected people which had been donated by philanthropists.
The relief operation was carried out in collaboration with Srinagar based ‘Infaq Foundation’ that while as Baramulla based WhatsApp group also pooled its resources for the relief activity in the area in terms of school bags and stationary items.
A team comprising JKYF’s District Bandipora representative Mohammad Anwar Malik and Tehsil representatives Gulzar Ahmad (Tulail), Firdous Ahmad (Gurez) and Shakeel Ahmed Baba visited the affected families and expressed sympathies with the affected people. The team of volunteers while braving the chilling weather reached out with succour to the affected families.
Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather commend Bandipora unit for carrying out the relief operation in the remote area with dedication and commitment.
