PAMPORE: Tehsildar Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din held a meeting with representatives of Cab union associations regarding availability of passenger taxis during evening hours.
The meeting was held in the office of Tehsildar Pampore and was attended by representatives from Reshi Sumo Service Pampore, Nund Resh Sumo service Pampore and Gulmarg Sumo service Pampore.
“As winter is in session, passengers from Pampore areas complaint that they suffer due to non availability of passenger vehicles from Srinagar to Pampore and other routes during evening hours,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, adding that he was approached by locals from Pampore areas who informed him that they get Sumo taxis to Srinagar with ease but on returning they find it very hard to get a Sumo.
The Tehsildar Pampore added that it was in this regard that a meeting was held with presidents of various stands of the areas.
” They were given clear instructions that passenger taxis be kept available to passengers from Pampore during late evening hours,” he said.
He said that the association presidents were asked to ensure passenger vehicles beyond 5:00 pm.
