Gold prices decline by Rs 196; silver tanks Rs 146

New Delhi: Gold in the national capital on Friday dipped Rs 196 to Rs 46,581 per 10 gram in line with fall in international precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.
In the previous trade, the precious metal settled at Rs 46,777 per 10 gram.
Silver also declined Rs 146 to Rs 59,878 per kilogram from Rs 60,024 per kilogram in the previous trade.
In the international market, gold was trading lower at USD 1,767 per ounce and silver was flat at USD 22.30 per ounce.
“Gold prices traded weak with spot gold prices at COMEX were trading down at USD 1,767 per ounce on Friday,” according to HDFC Securities, Senior Analyst (Commodities), Tapan Patel.
