DC Budgam reviews progress on NTEP in district

BUDGAM: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza who is also Chairman District Health Society today convened a meeting here to review performance of National TB Elimination programme (NTEP) in the district.
During the meeting, the performance of NTEP was discussed threadbare by the Chairman with the participants wherein strategies to further enhance the programme performance after achieving TB free status were also discussed.
The DDC issued directions to go for one month’s aggressive ACF activities to better the presumptive examination rate.
He also took an opportunity to discuss the present scenario of Covid, Ayushman Bharat and other programmes.
In this regard, the DDC said that there is a need to carry all the programmes under the umbrella of ‘Ghar Ghar Dastak’. He stressed upon this initiative to win the war against COVID-19 and stop the spread of Covid-19 in the district.
The DDC further issued instructions particularly in relation to aggressive sampling, contact tracing, vaccination, surveillance etc to mitigate the challenge posed by COVID-19 pandemic.
He also emphasized for PMJAY SEHAT registration and exhorted upon the concerned to increase registration to 3k per day. The DDC warned that in case the target is not achieved within five days, Nodal officers shall be dealt with no work no pay policy. This was categorically conveyed to the BMO’S as well.
The meeting was attended by CMO Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan, MS District Hospital Budgam Dr Ayub Fateh Khan, DTO Budgam Dr Adhfar Yasien, all the BMO’S, Nodal officer’s/ RMO’s of respective blocks, staff of CMO office and DTC Budgam.
