Urs of Hazrat Ameer Kabeer (RA) observed after three years at Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah Tral

Tral: After gap of three years the annual Urs of Hazat Amir Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdan, was observed on Friday at Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district with religious fervor and enthusiasm. On this occasion various tabaruks were displayed for devotees.
The Urs was suspended in 2019 and 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
Special prayers were held for the end to COVID and for global peace.
A large number of devotees from dozens of villages of Tral and other parts of the valley thronged the shrine where they recited verses of Quran, followed by Khatam-e-Sharief, Naats and supplications, said an eyewitness.
Eyewitness told Kashmir Reader that religious preachers delivered their lectures before Friday prayers and highlighted the teachings of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA).
The largest gathering at Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah Tral was witnessed during Zuhr prayers on Friday when the majority of people gathered to offer congregational prayers. On the occasion, scholars shed light on the life of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA).
