Apni party calls for uninterrupted electricity during winters

SRINAGAR: Apni Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi on Thursday expressed concerns with regards to intermittent power supply across Kashmir division.
In a statement issued here, Andrabi said that with the commencement of winters in the valley people have to grapple with an erratic power supply.
“It is extremely excruciating especially for those who might have to go for prayers or get ready for their offices as most of the time electricity clampdowns happen in the morning hours. Besides, even the evenings present a gloomy view wherein people often dine under the lamp and candle lights,” he remarked.
He said the administration must address this pressing issue that has been repeatedly haunting the people of the valley since decades, especially during winters.
“I am hopeful that the administration will break the previous tradition of electricity blackouts during winters and ensure that an uninterrupted and hassle-free power supply is maintained during the winters so that the people do not have to face any inconvenience,” he demanded.
