SRINAGAR: The Enforcement Wing of J&K Lakes Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA) today conducted a demolition drive in the areas of Saidakadal, Nigeen, Shahdad Bagh Habak and Saderbal.
During the demolition drive, one shop was demolished at Saidakadal, also earth filling was removed at Ashai Bagh, one single storey at Nigeen, one 2nd storey, one plinth, one walling, one tin shed at Shahdad Bagh Habak and one automobile workshop was demolished at Kanitar Saderbal.
Besides, legal action was also initiated against the violators.
Moreover, during the spontaneous drive, illegal encroachment of plot grabbing by some miscreants at (Bay 13) at Rakh-i-Arth was also retrieved and was handed over to actual owners of the plot Holders.
During the anti-encroachment drive there was some resistance from the miscreants, but the demolition team remained on forefront and successfully retrieved the grabbed plots.
The demolition team was accompanied by SDPO West Srinagar, Magistrate, AEE, J.E Rakh-i-Arth, DO Police Post Bemina and District Police Sgr. It was due to their support that the demolition drive remained successful and encroachments were removed.
Meanwhile, all the public residing within the LCMA jurisdiction & in lake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.
