Workshop on Color, Trend in Wool held at B’pora

BANDIPORA: The Department of Handicrafts and Handloom Bandipora on Friday organised a workshop in collaboration with a US based organisation regarding color and modern trends in wool.
The workshop was conducted by a U.S based agency Creative Learning Inc. Aid to Artisans (ATA) in collaboration with Project Implementation Unit (PIU) – Industries & Commerce Department (I&CD) and Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom Bandipora with the artisans of JTFRP Wool Cluster Bandipora.
The Color and Trend experts gave a detailed presentation on Trends and importance of Color in the international market. Experts also briefed on the latest lifestyle product collection in Tweed and Kani Weaving.
The workshop was attended by 50 artisans. Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom Parvaiz Ahmad and other officials of the department were also present on the occasion.
An interactive session was also held at the end wherein artisans posed several questions regarding the trade to the experts.
Workshop was organised to create an understanding of different color trends and the market-buyer relationships in the international market and was the first of its kind of any international workshop in the cluster.
