KTA delegation visits Babademb fire victims, seeks due compensation

Srinagar: Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) today expressed anguish over midnight blaze in Babademb market that engulfed around four shops on Tuesday night.
A delegation of KTA led by Ajaz Shahdhar today visited Babademb Naqashpora to express their grief over the losses incurred by the traders.
A statement of KTA issued here said while most of the shops have no insurance cover the losses incurred by the traders are immense, making it imperative for the administration to step in. Shahdhar said, “It is not just the infrastructure that has been damaged, the merchandise worth crores of rupees also got ruined in the unfortunate incident. I stand shoulder to shoulder with the affected traders in their difficult time. I hope and pray for their early revival.”
Local Traders briefed Shahdhar about the damage caused to the traders by blaze and urged him to impress upon LG administration to rehabilitate the affected traders on priority. While speaking with the affected traders, Ajaz Shahdhar expressed his sympathies to the affected and prayed for the early revival of their business. He impressed upon the administration to award due compensation to the affected following early assessment of the losses incurred by them without delay.
Shahdhar also spoke with District officials on the occasion and demanded compensation to the affected traders.
