First Positive Kashmir Knockout football championship kick started

SRINAGAR: The First Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship kick started on 24th of Sept 2021 at Synthetic Turf TRC, Srinagar.
A total of 16 Teams/Clubs are participating in the tournament and a total number of 15 matches will be played.
On the inaugural day an exhibition match was played between the veterans of DFA Srinagar XI & Veterans of Positive Kashmir XI.
DFA Srinagar Veteran team won the match by 3-1 goals.
The first match of the Championship was played between Iqbal Sports FC and Positive Kashmir XI. Both the teams played magnificent Football and the match ended with 1:1 goal draw. Tie Breaker rule was applied and the Positive Kashmir defeated Iqbal Sports by 4-2 goals.
The match was played in floodlights and the spectators present enjoyed every moment of the game in floodlights.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P.K Pole, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and mentor of Positive Kashmir (NGO) Bharat Rawat, DDC Vice Chairman Srinagar, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, owner HK Cements, Zahoor Ahmed Mir and former India footballer Ishfaq Ahmad were the Guests of Honour.
Officials of JKFA & JKSC were also present on the occasion.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir interacted with the players & assured them that various steps are being taken for the promotion of Sports Culture & infrastructure in the UT of J&K.
All the matches of the Championship are scheduled to be played under floodlights.
The Tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association and the Positive Kashmir (NGO) in collaboration with JKSC.
