PAMPORE: Bar Association Pampore on Monday held election for the posts of President, General Secretary and Treasurer.
The election were held in the premises of muncif court Pampore.
A young Advocate Ajaz Ahmad Khan was elected President of Bar Association Pampore while advocate Arif Masoodi was elected General Secretary and Ajaz Ahmad Dar elected as Treasurer of Pampore Bar Association Pampore.
According to officials , elections were held under the supervision of election commission, senior Advocate Bashir Ahmad Malik, and executive body members and senior Advocates were also present during the election.
On counting of votes, Advocate Ajaz Ahmad Khan defeated Advocate Arshad Ahmad Dar by a margin of 01 vote and for the post of general Secretary , Advocate Arif Masoodi defeated Tariq Ahmad Mir by a margin of 04 votes while as Ajaz Dar was elected unopposed.
After the declaration of results, new team pledged to work with dedication and honesty for the betterment of their fraternity.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Advocate Ajaz Malik he thanked all participating and pledged to work for betterment of advocate fraternity.
” I will work with sincerity, yesterday some body was elected and if I don’t work as per the wishes of my voters, I will thrown out,” he said.
Meanwhile, advocate fraternity Pampore congratulated the elected president, general secretary and Treasurer. They were garlanded by their supporters.
