District administration Kishtwar braces up for Door to Door vaccination drive

KISHTWAR: District administration today finalised the modalities for conduct of the door to door Vaccination drive for saturation of left out age appropriate persons under the COVID protection Vaccination besides to achieve hundred percent coverage under the SEHAT-scheme in the district, here in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma.
ADDC Sham Lal; ADC Kishori Lal Sharma; ACR Akhter Hussain Qazi; ACD Kishore Singh Katoch; SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak; Chief Medical Officer Dr R S Manhas, District Immunization Officer Dr. Chandar Prakash besides Tehsildars, DBOs, BMOs and the Community Service Centre officials and others attended the meeting.
At the outset, District Immunization Officer Kishtwar apprised the meeting about the progress of COVID Vaccination in the district. He informed that out of the total 1.74 lakh age appropriate persons 1.11 lakh have been administered atleast one dose. The status of the registration under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme was also reviewed.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding the modalities to cover the left-out age appropriate persons and a slew of directions were passed to the concerned officers.
It was decided that Block/Panchayat wise mopping exercise, massive Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities and registration for SEHAT-scheme, Vaccination of left out persons will be conducted in a mission mode basis to achieve 100% coverage.
The DC Kishtwar informed the house that ADDC Kishtwar who is Nodal officers for the Vaccination drive in district will monitor the constitution of the Panchayat level teams headed by executive magistrate and comprising the health officials, ASHA workers, AWW besides BLOs and teachers for the successful conduct of the vaccination.
All the Tehsildar were asked to furnish Panchayat specific list of the teams with their members by tomorrow which would be deputed for conducting the vaccination in each Panchayat.
Besides, the CSC officials were asked to depute the VLEs to conduct registration of left-out persons for golden cards to ensure that beneficiaries may avail the benefit of the health insurance scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar asked the concerned officers to adopt target driven approach to cover the left-out persons and rope in the PRIs at grassroots level in the process to aware and motivate the masses for the vaccination and for registration under SEHAT scheme.
The CMO was asked to conduct special vaccination camps in the premises of the colleges and schools to ensure 100% vaccination of the students and staff members going for in-person class work after due permissions.
ADC Kishtwar who has been appointed as the Nodal officer for the implementation and enforcement of COVID Appropriate Behaviour across the district was asked to ensure the monitoring of the implementation of the CAB in the public places and in the educational institutions.
