Baramulla: Heavy rains hit Mohra-Baz road in border town Uri on Friday afternoon due to which the traffic movement was disrupted in the area.
Local people of the area said that heavy rains hit Uri-Baz road in sub division Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon due to which the traffic movement was also disrupted for several hours. They said the rain water accompanied with mudslide and rocks hit the road near Darakisi village and also damaged the protection wall of the road.
They said when the heavy rain water hits the road, dozens of vehicles were on the road but due to advance alarm raised by some people drivers parked their vehicles at the safe sides and there was no report of any damage.
Mohra to Baz road connects dozens of villages living on the right side of the river Jhelum on the mountains, and the it is lone road connects the area with Uri and Baramulla towns.
