Police distributes masks, sanitation products in Bandipora

Bandipora: Police on monday started an awareness drive regarding COVID-19 and distributed face-mask, sanitizers etc among the people across north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The drive was started in the jurisdiction police station Bandipora led by SHO Bandipora Showket Ahmad under the supervision of Dysp Hqr Idrees Ahmad and Naib Tehsildar Ab Rashid.
The drive was started to bring awareness among the people about the effects of Covid-19 and people were advised to adhere to all SoPs to keep the virus at bay.
Police said that the aim of the mask-distribution drive was to urge the public to combat the virus by playing their role.
During the programme, the people were sensitised about the pandemic and were requested to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour. The participants were requested to wear masks, use sanitizers and keep their surroundings clean. They were requested to adhere to the SOPs and cooperate with police in enforcing the directions.
Meanwhile, one shop sealed many vehicles seized and others fined by the joint team of Administration and police during the drive.
