Jammu Kashmir Premier League: Ali Jana enters into finals

SRINAGAR: Nadeem Dar’s three wicket haul helped Ali Jana Cricket Club to register thumping 80 run win over SSCC Bemina in the second semi-final of Jammu Kashmir Premier League t-20 cricket tournament at played at Green Valley Educational Institute here on Friday.
Chasing a moderate target of 187 runs SSCC Bemina lost early wickets as their top order was rattled by Nadeem Dar who claimed three wickets upfront. None of the SSCC batsmen was able to put a formidable show with the bat except Junaid with 38 of 34 balls and Fazil who scored run a ball 25 runs were main contributors to the scoreboard.
Earlier Ali Jana CC skipper won the toss and elected to bat first. Ali Jana CC managed to post a total of 187 runs.
Aqib Mir(43 of 38 balls) and Wahid Teli (36 of 26 balls) were the top run scorers for their team. For SSCC Bemina Abrar and Gowhar and Owais Shah took two wickets each.
Nadeem Dar for his outstanding all-round performance was awarded as Man of the Match.
In the first semi final played on Thursday, Ishtiyaq Rasool’s blistering 69 runs knock of just 28 balls and Rouf Bashir’s four wicket haul helped Birch Blasters to enter into the final’s of Jammu Kashmir Premier League’s t-20 cricket tournament .
In the first semi final Birch Blasters Burzhama beat Elegant Strikers in the first semi final by 83 runs played at Green Valley Educational Institute on Thursday.
Elegant Strikers skipper won the toss and opted to field first.
BBB managed to post a huge total of 220/8 runs. Ishtiyaq Rasool (69 of 28 balls) and Adil Ganguly and Jehangir Lone (56 of 29 and 56 of 31 balls) were the top run scorers for their team.
For Elegant Strikers Amir Aziz and Owais Shah took two wickets.
In reply Elegant Strikers were bundled on 137 runs only and lost the match by 83 runs.
Khalid Bhat (38 of 21 balls) and Asim Bashir (28 of 20 balls) were the highest run scorers.
Rouf Bashir bowled economical four over spell and took four wickets including hat-trick.
Ishtiyaq for his outstanding batting performance was awarded as Man of the Match. Rouf Bashir was given Best bowler and Game changer of the match.
Birch Blasters Burzahama will lock horns with Ali Jana CC in the finals.
