Pampore: Dr Rehana Wani, pediatrician, at Sub District Hospital Pampore has been felicitated by WHO NSP unit Srinagar for disease surveillance.
Dr Rehana, a resident of Kadlabal Pampore, was given the award by Block Medical Officer Pampore Dr Asma Nazir and Registered Medical Officer SDH Pampore Dr Mohammad Ashraf here on Monday.
” I am thankful to WHO NSP unit Srinagar which in collaboration with Directorate of family and health welfare (MCH Immunization) for the award,” Dr Rehana said, adding that the award has been given to her for disease surveillance with respect to measles, Rubella and Polio.
” No new Polio case of Polio has been registered in Pulwama and maximum case finding of measles and Rubella are from this hospital and for this I have been appreciated,” she told Kashmir Reader.
The doctor was applauded by BMO Pampore Dr Asma Nazir and RMO SDH Pampore Dr Mohammad Ashraf congratulated her for the achievement.
Other doctors, paramedics and civil society members also hailed the Dr Rehana for doing excellent job.
