Rajouri admin sets per day target of 1000 RT PCR, 2000 RAT tests, 1000 vaccine doses

RAJOUR: To ensure the effective containment and management of COVID19 in the district, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting with the concerned officers.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; Principal GMC, Brij Mohan Gupta; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf; MS DH, Dr Tanveer; DHO, Dr Khalid Hussain; DIO, Narinder Kumar besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
A detailed discussion on various points including strict enforcement of Covid appropriate behaviour, intensive vaccination, aggressive testing besides other points related to mitigating the pandemic in the district was held threadbare in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the top researchers, epidemiologists and virologists are consistently warning of another wave adding that vaccine and Covid Appropriate Behaviour are vital to avert the same.
For containment of virus, the Deputy Commissioner said that aggressive testing and contact tracing plays a significant role in the timely Identification of the Covid positive patients and it helps to prevent the transmission of the virus from the infected persons. He asked the concerned officer from the Health Department to increase per day Covid tests to 1000 RT PCR and 2000 RAT.
About the vaccination of the targeted age groups, the Deputy Commissioner set a target of administering 1000 doses per day.
The District Panchayat Officer was asked to monitor the working of Incharge Panchayat deployed for COVID containment and management.
The registration of beneficiaries under the SEHAT scheme was also stressed upon by the Deputy Commissioner. He directed the officers to sensitize the people about the benefits of the SEHAT Golden Card and put in extra efforts to achieve universal coverage under the health scheme. It was decided that 380 IDs of the CSC would be activated and the Arogya Mitras shall ensure 50 SEHAT registrations per day.
The Deputy Commissioner also sanctioned four Eco Ambulances to the Health Department. The Eco Ambulances were sanctioned out of the Red Cross Fund of the District Administration.
