SRINAGAR: Birch Blasters Burzahama beat Nunnu Stars by a margin of 68 runs in the first quarter final of Jammu Kashmir Premier league t20 cricket tournament played at Green Valley Educational Institute on Saturday.
With this win Birch Blasters Burzahama became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Birch Blasters Burzahama won the toss and elected to bat first. They managed to put a total of 198 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Adil Ahmad (89 of 45 balls) and Waseem Kachur (30 of 29 balls) were among top run scorers for their team. For Nunnu Stars Mir Saleem and Rouf took two wickets each.
In reply Nunnu Stars were bundled out on 130 runs. Zahid Naik (54 of 43 balls) was the only highest run scorer for his team. Rouf, Javid Jaddu and Ishtyaq Rasool claimed three wickets for their team Birch Blasters Burzahama.
Adil for his outstanding batting performance was awarded as Man of the Match.
