Anjuman condoles demise of Mian Bashir Ahmad, Mirwaiz pays tributes

Srinagar: Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned religious and spiritual leader Mian Bashir Ahmad Larvi Naqshbandi who passed away on Saturday late evening at his residence in Ganderbal district.
Anjuman in a statement paid rich tributes to Mian Bashir Sahib for his seven-decade-long religious, milli, spiritual and social services.
Late Mian Bashir Ahmad Sahib was not only the alumni of the first educational institute of Jammu and Kashmir – Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam’s Islamia Oriental College but also had a close relationship with the Muhajir-e-Millat Mirwaiz-Kashmir Moulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah Sahib (RA), Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq Sahib (RA) and the present Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq
Anjuman on behalf of its incarcerated President Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed condolences and sympathy with the deceased’s sons – Mian Sarfaraz Ahmad and Mian Altaf Ahmad – and also with the followers of the late leader. It prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the late Mian Bashir Ahmad Sahib and forbearance to the bereaved family members.it described the demise of late Mian Bashir Sahib as “the end of an era”, the Anjuman said the departure has created a big religious and spiritual vacuum which is hard to fill
Meanwhile, a high-level delegation of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam led by its General Secretary Haji Altaf Ahmed Bhat which included Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon and Moulana M S Rehman Shams, visited Wangat Kangan in Ganderbal and offered condolences to the bereaved family. The delegation also conveyed a message of sympathy and condolences on behalf of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir to the bereaved family.
