CRPF man injured in Srinagar grenade attack

SRINAGAR: A CRPF trooper was injured after militants hurled a grenade at government forces in Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.

The incident occurred at 8.55 pm at Sanat Nagar Chowk, they said, adding that a CRPF trooper was injured in the explosion.

The injured trooper was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the officials said.

In a similar incident, militants had targeted government forces in Baramulla district on Friday, injuring a CRPF head constable and two civilians.
