DC appeals people to follow CAB religiously

GANDERBAL: To generate awareness among the masses about Covid-19 Appropriate behaviour, District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal today conducted an awareness campaign through announcements in main Town Ganderbal and adjoining villages.

The announcement was made through a louder speaker mounted on a vehicle to sensitize the common masses about the Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour in order to combat the possible 3rd wave of Covid.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna while appreciating the Information Department for undertaking a week long campaign to educate people about CAB. She maintained that it is imperative to keep check on possible Covid 3rd wave and appealed to the people to become part of this campaign by way of observing all the Covid related SOPs religiously.

She further said that the campaign shall continue for a week during which various activities shall be held by the DIC Ganderbal to aware the people about the importance of adherence of Covid SOPs in combating the resurgence of Covid infection and possible Covid 3rd wave.

During the announcement campaign, the general public was made aware about Covid-19 SOPs and were appealed to adhere to the Covid appropriate behaviour.

On the occasion, District Information Officer Ganderbal interacted with the people and made them aware about the importance of observing Covid Appropriate Behaviour and urged them to follow basic protocols like wearing face masks, washing hands and maintaining social distance while visiting markets and other busy places where chances of infection are high.

The officials of DIC Ganderbal also distributed the masks among the people and urged them to follow Covid-19 protocols in letter and spirit which are only effective tools to combat the resurgence of Covid infection in the district.

Pertinently during the week-long campaign several activities would be held like seminars/awareness involving media persons, awareness among shopkeepers, announcement in mosques through religious preachers/ imams, etc.
