Locals, transporters call for lifting of garbage on Magam road

BUDGA: MThe local residents and cab drivers of the Shalimar Tax stand Magam urged the Municipal committee Magam to lift the garbage from the main road Magam which has not been lifted by the MC Magam for the last four day.
The locals told the Kashmir Reader that from the last few days the municipal committee Magam have not lifted the garbage from the main road magam due to which the cab drivers and passengers are a lot of inconvenience in the area.
Zameer Ahmad Dar, one of the cab drivers from Shalimar tax stand Magam told the Kashmir Reader that from the last few days the passengers, shopkeepers and drivers are facing a lot of difficulties due to the stink which is coming from the garbage.
” This is the main road which connects to the famous tourist destination Gulmarg, where the traffic flow of the tourist vehicles and passengers vehicles is high on daily basis, ” He said.
Dar said that Magam has become the main hub for the business activities where most of the people are earning their livelihood through this market whether it is shopkeeper, driver and salesmen.
“The municipal committee of Magam should take necessary steps to lift the garbage from the main road. So the people will get relief in the area, ” He said.
The locals and cab drivers requested the Deputy commissioner Budgam and Executive Officer of the MC Magam to look into the matter and lift the garbage from the main road town as the month Muhram is approaching.
