New dual garbage bins installed, distributed, cleaning, fogging, desilting, bush cutting started as per LG’s directions
SAMBA: The Municipal Committee, Bari Brahamana has started a special sanitation drive from today as part of the celebration of the 75th Independence Day.
Following the directions of Lieutenant Governor, and in compliance to the instructions issued by Asgar Hussain, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu the drive was initiated from Ward No 2 – the area housing the MC office Bari Brahmana, in presence of President, Municipal Committee, Bari Brahmana, Puran Chand; Executive Officer Municipal Committee Jodh Raj; Assistant Sanitation Officer, Ravinder Kumar Gupta; Head Assistant Kamal Kishore; besides other concerned filed staff of MC Bari Brahmana especially Safai-karamcharis.
The main objective of the special sanitation drive is to clean all areas of the town one by one, provide better civic amenities to the residents and to prevent the causes of disease during this covid-19 pandemic. The special sanitation drive will be a continue process in all 13 wards upto 15th of August 2021. The elected ward members and inhabitants of the town were requested to participate and cooperate with the special sanitation team of MC Bari Brahaman for cleanliness of the uncovered areas and educate the general public about making “Clean Bari Brahmana – Green Bari Brahamana”.
The Municipal Committee, Bari Brahmana also started the initiatives of distributing twin dustbins (Green and Blue) to each and every household for collection and handover of daily garbage to the team deputed for door to door collection in a segregated manner.
