DC Kupwara expresses satisfaction over recovery rate

Stresses for administration of vaccination, continue follow CAB

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today said that COVID recovery rate in the district has gone up to 98.53 percent, which is a sign of satisfaction. He said no patient is under Hospital isolation at present.

Giving details, the DC said that 85.43 percent people of above 45 year age and 26.10 percent of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate has declined to 0.21 percent, while recovery rate has gone up to 98.53 percent which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He said that efforts are on to achieve a 90 percent vaccination target by tomorrow evening. He directed Dy. CMO to gear up all BMOs to achieve the 90 percent target of vaccination by tomorrow evening. He said the district currently has 41active cases, adding that no patient is admitted in hospital now.
The DC said that public support and hard work of employees has helped to defeat the pandemic in Kupwara district, however, he reiterated his appeal to the people to continue to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour and other SOPs.
He appealed to the people to come forward and administer Covid vaccine at nearby vaccination centers for their safety against the pandemic to achieve the target in full. He said people should be more responsive in keeping the covid at bay by using masks and maintaining distance.
He also said that there would be no weekend lockdown from now on in the district.
