Man wanted in an arms case held after 25 years in Baramulla

Baramulla: Baramulla police said that they have arrested an absconder involved in arms act, after twenty five years in this north Kashmir district.
In a statement, Baramulla police said that under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain DSP headquarters Baramulla assisted by Inspector Syed Showkat Ahmad SHO Baramulla arrested one absconder namely Bashir Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Maqbool Lone resident of Khadniyar, absconder who was evading arrest in case FIR number 34 of 1997 under section 7/25 I A Act of police station Baramulla. The absconder was immediately produced before the court where he was shifted to jail.
Police statement further said that, on 16/02/1997, case FIR number 34 of 1997 under section 7/25 I A act of police station Baramulla came to be registered against two accused including said absconder on the recovery of 04 Chinese hand grenades at Bus stand Baramulla and the instant case was challaned against accused before court on 06/03/1997.
During the trial the said accused was declared as absconder by the court.
