One dies of Covid in Jammu, 221 new cases

Srinagar: One person hailing from Jammu died due to Covid while 221 new Covid cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours in J&K, the official daily bulletin reported on Friday.

Of the new cases, 118 were reported in Kashmir Division and 103 in Jammu Division, the bulletin said.

Moreover, 208 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 70 from Jammu Division and 138 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 99.15 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The bulletin informed that 1 new case of Mucormycosis was reported and the total number of confirmed cases are 33 in J&K.

Providing district-wise breakup, it said that Srinagar reported 40 cases with 441 active cases and 51 cases recovered today.

Budgam reported 15 positive cases with 100 active positive cases and 14 recovering.

Baramulla reported 15 cases with 172 active cases and 9 cases of recovery.

Pulwama reported 19 cases with 98 active cases and 06 cases of recovery.

Anantnag reported 9 cases with 107 active cases and 15 cases of recovery.

Bandipora reported 2 cases with 73 active cases and 06 cases of recovery.

Ganderbal reported 08 cases with 105 active cases and 20 cases of recovery.

Kulgam reported 03 cases with 54 active cases and 10 cases of recovery.

Shopian reported 1 fresh case with 09 active cases.
