28th Board of Studies meeting for FoA Wadura SKUAST held

Srinagar: The 28th Board of Studies meeting for Faculty of Agriculture was held at FoA, Wadura under the Chairmanship of Prof. A. H. Hakeem, Dean of the Faculty. The meeting was attended by Deans of various subject matter faculties, members of board of studies and other faculty members. Various agenda items related to Faculty of Agriculture were placed before the board for deliberations.
At the outset, Chairman desired for improving of academic pursuits in such a way that quality human resource is produced, which is the need of the hour. The agenda
Items of the meeting were presented by Dr. Mohammad Anwar Khan, Member Secretary which were deliberated upon and approved for consideration in the forth coming academic council meeting of SKUAST-Kashmir.
After a long and threadbare discussions it was resolved for implementation of operational mechanism for the adoption of Next-Gen Student Transcript, establishment of Division of Agro-meteorology, institution of PG programme in Statistics, incorporation of important diseases of temperate Agro Eco-System in UG courses, adoption of new course structure for PG programmes in Genetics and Plant Breeding & in Seed Science and Technology, change in minimum pass marks of external examination, change in minimum eligible marks for admission to PG degree programme, conduct of students education tour in virtual mode under present COVID-19 scenario, repatriating Gramin Krishi Mousam Seva (GKMS) and Agromet Field Unit (AMFU) to the Division of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture. The meeting ended with vote of thanks from Prof. Mohammad Ashraf Bhat to the members.
